My boyfriend is in erson (wayne county jail). He was original sentenced to 90 days and 6 months rehab. He was about 4 weeks ago had to go through a resentencing. The jail was saying he had another warrant and was not elligable for the rehab. Come to find o the warrrant is unsigned due to the prosecutor refusing to sign it and not vaild. THe Judge asked the prosecutor to call the jail and inform erson that this was an error and to get him over to the rehab. They put him through a second resentencing again over this unsigned warrant. The judge herself this time called erson explained to them that this was not an official warrant and resentenced him to be immediately released to rehab or put on a tether. Its been over a week and this still has not happened. Every time I call I get a run around and no one seems to know what the world is going on. The Tether department has not received any paperwork on him from the jail. The jail is saying that yes on the computer he is to be released on a tether or to the rehab. He has the paperwork with him in jail saying what his new sentence is. He is sitting there while everyone else is getting there tether and no word on his own. I don't know what more I can do and who know how long he will still be sitting there.

If you don't know and you're familiar with the circumstances for SURE I don't know BUT does he have an Attorney, perhaps a Public Defender. Paperwork does take time and you have no legal standing here - you aren't his wife and no one "has" to talk to you.

I'd involve an Attorney OR have him talk to the DA.
