I have an offset umbrella and the plastic part that holds umbrella open broke. Where could I find this part?

This kind of situation frequently does not end well unless you have a brand name. Do you, or do you recall where you bought the unit?

This happened to us three years ago, broke the top of the canopy. I took the pin out, then glued it. While the glue was wet, I dry wall screwed it to hold the glue in place. That was about three years ago. Now what I do is, put pieces of closeline rope on four corners and tie it down so that if the wind blows really strong before I have time to take it down, it won't hurt it.
