    Feet Problem
I am a cleaner and lately I have had terrible trouble with my feet with pain coming seemingly from the arch underneath and radiating into my heel sending shooting pains up through my heel when I rest it. Its got so bad this week I have been limping and having real difficulty in walking. Its in both feet but one is always alternately worse than the other. If I rest over the weekend they are not too bad on Monday but soon start up again and every morning is agony putting my feet to the ground as I get out of bed. It feels like I'm literally walking on the bone. I have got new comfortable shoes , for a while it was a bit better then came back. I have put insoles or fleece in my shoe, tried heat gels , joint gel from over the counter but only a slight improvement for a small amount of time. It always returns. Does anyone experience these pains in their feet or know what it is?? As I said I am a cleaner and walk everywhere so maybe its arthritis or joint damage. I have badly sprained both my ankles several times in my life and a few times just bandaged it up and got on with things myself so wondered if its to do with ankles and not feet?? Help please? Thank you.

It could be arthritis But you won't know for sure unless you have an RA test. I had the same problem every time I was climbing stairs or dancing or exercising .
    Hope this help

You know I could guess that it was excessive water build up, or that it was improper soles or arch support in your shoes. ** I do assume you buy better shoes, not the 10 dollar walmart specials to be on your feet all day in.

But guess what, no one on line can examine you, check your feet, range of motion and more. You need to see a podiatrist and see what is really wrong with your feet

    A podiatrist is actually best.
You don't say your age or weight. Heel pain such as you describe is very common as we age, or gain weight, or have injuries. There isn't a lot to do other than what you are doing, plus tub soaks and putting your feet up and wearing foot/ankle support bandages or support socks.
I take ibuprofin and sometimes tylenol or alleve (3 different kinds of pain relief) for all my aches and pains.

Im 48 and over 10 stone which I know is over what it should be, I did wonder whether its weight related and your build I suppose. I have always loved walking and its awful not being able to walk around as I used too. I said doctor as I'm worried it could be something more to do with bones and just to rule this out I wanted to make sure with my doctor first as I said I have really badly sprained my ankles loads of times and wonder if there is any damage to them I don't know about. Thanks.

That's interesting I never knew it could be diagnosed with a blood test. Ok thanks.

You are welcome, The doctor will probably check other things as well in the blood test and if it come positive you may have to do an X ray.
The only way I know is because I am positive .
    Kind regards

Your age, your weight, and your ankle injuries are 99.9% of the pain, I'll bet. The injuries create scar tissue that crowds against the nerves. There is nothing a doctor can do.

The doctor said I have Planter Fasciitis, it's the band under your foot gets inflamed. There's nothing they can do unless you have exhausted all non surgical options i.e wearing insoles, heel things you can buy to put in shoes, resting and soaking feet. She said a lot of people limp around with it but it would not cripple me. I don't know how I'm going to rest when I'm a cleaner although I do not work all day. That's something at least I will be able to rest in between my jobs. I can go to a foot place for them to advise me but it will cost me money the doctor said and there is no no medical evidence that it helps apparently. Only eases it I uppose. Has anyone else got this and can they advise me how they ease it. Now I know what it is I can ask for more advice. Its still worrying me as I make my living in a job on my feet and am single and have to support myself so have to work. Thank you.
