    Purchase of impound car
    I called a craiglist owner of a car for sale in California. He stated he bought the car from an impound, that's his business. What name should the title have? Should the name on title be the name of the person who bought it from the impound? Should the car have new license plates?
    Please respond. Thank you.

    I'd call the California Dept. of Motor Vehicles--go to the source that matters.
