    Making sense of a separation-divorce
After 31 years being together my wife says she met someone online (never met in person) and is moving away to live with him to see if he is "the one". *they have known each other five months.

I have told her that if she is this unhappy then we can divorce and then after its final move away (880 miles). But still being married and him still being married (neither couple currently has filed) and having 2 kids each is WRONG, She is 49 and he is 34. According to her he said he loved her and wanted to be with her for the rest of her life (after 2weeks)

She stated if she didn't go now she would always wonder if this was the one. I've asked if this is all worth ruining 8 lives and she says "so my happiness doesn't count?" at least she did ask if I would give her 30-days to figure this out before filing?

How do you fall in love with someone you have never actually met? Do statistics really hold true that this type of (fill in blank cause I don't know what to call it) has the slimmest chance to succeed or have I been reading for days and only quoting crap to her?

I don't know that statistics matter at this point or that quoting crap to her is doing any good. I'd INSIST that the two of you see a counselor.

    Then decide how to proceed.

The hows/whens/wheres are pretty much immaterial.
