    Help me help my dog.
J9 I am in the same situation, sort of and the jerks on this site are not helpful at all!I am sorry your dog was so sick. My dog WENT to the vet and it was worthless. Wasted money. She can't hold water, can't eat, and I don't know what to do either. I came to this site to find some advice, and instead just saw people bashing you because you took the time to try to find some help for your dog. No one offered any sound advice to you. I am sorry. I wish they had, because I could use some right now. She vomits every time she drinks water and won't eat anything at all. Not boiled chicken & rice, dog food, cheese, peanut butter... nothing! It is impossible to get meds down her without a med dispenser at this point. If anyone has anything real to say, rather than bashing/judging, feel free to reply. Thanks.

Hi TA, sorry you had a bad experience here, but the posts you are mentioning mean nothing if you don't post a link so we can track back.

You say you are in the same situation, what situation ?

Can you please give some background about your pet's condition, and we will start from there.

I am sure not all advice was from jerks, as you say.

Let's concentrate on your dog and not people! Did she have X rays (for twisted bowel)?

A little history would be helpful, what diagnostics were done?
How long has this been going on?
How old is she, does she have a habit of chewing on things she shouldn't, toys, socks, shoes, anything?
How has her health been up to now?

I agree with starting with x-rays.

Sometimes you need to be a little forceful with vets to get good diagnostic work done. I wish it wasn't that way, but unfortunately it is. I feel as if some vets are afraid to be aggressive in treatment with certain clients.. especially those who are new.

Start with x-rays and work your way up. After the x-rays, I would suggest bloodwork. Puppies/dogs don't vomit and not want to eat for no reason. Something is running amuck in her.

To be honest it sounds like parvo. I had to puppys what died from it and had the same problems as yours did the vet was useless and did not pick it up I was the 1 that told him I think it might be parvo so got the test which conformed it but by that time both pups were dead so please please find a decent vet and ask for your dog to be tested for parvo.
