Hello, I have been having a sharp shooting pain in my anus for about 5 months now. The pain comes sporadically and usually only lasts no more then 10 - 15 seconds. It is a sharp shooting like pain. I am starting to worry a little bit because lately I have been feeling this same shooting pain in my abdomen as well. Another thing that concerns me is my change in bowl moments in recent days. I went from having a nice size B. M. every two days to one every week or TWO! And even when I do go, they are just two inches long and an inch and a half wide and pushing them out is terrible because my stole is as soft as a rock. I would be really appreciative if someone could help by telling me if this is normal and if not, what is wrong and how to deal with this situation. Thank you.

We can't diagnose here, so you're going to have to see a doctor about this. It could be all sorts of things, from minor to major. Best to get it checked out.
