I am installing a toilet in my basement, there is a 3" PVC stub coming up through the concrete. My local hardware store helped pick out what I need. The flange I bought fit's over the PVC pipe not inside of it. Is this what I want or should the flange go inside of the PVC that is coming up through...

Hello, I realized as I was installing the subfloor in my new bathroom that I had cut off the pvc to short. It is slightly lower that the subfloor. Is there a longer flange which will solve this problem or should I remove the floor add a coupling and more pvc to raise the height? Thanks, m2

Hi, I'm putting a new floor in the bathroom. The tolet flange is higher by 1/4 in on one side and 1/2 in on the other above the floor I'm going to put ceramic tile down. Do I need to level it out or bring the floor up around the flange? Thanks Tim
No toilet flange

My 90 year old house has only a lead pipe coming about an inch out of the floor where the toilet was sitting, it is 4" diameter and it looks like the wax ring was placed right onto that without a flange. If I find a flange that fits, no luck so far, how do I attach it to the floor? Please explain... View more questions Search
