Dropped 1.5 inch square magnet with photo glued on in toilet. What to do?
Dropped 1.5 inch square magnet with photo glued on in toilet. What to do? I tried reaching and grabbing it, but it had already gone too far. I tried plunging but the water level got lower.

Run some kind of flexible steel or iron rod down the toilet. Try a wire coat hanger.
Shouldn't have plunged. May have gone down the pipe by now.

Let's check and find out. Take the lid off the tank so you can push the flapper down if it starts to overflow. Now load the bowl up with toilet paper, lots and lots of it) and flush. If it starts to back up close the flapper. The object is still in there. Click on back and we'll help you get it out. If the flush goes down do the paper thing again just to be sure. If it flushes the second time I have good news and I have bad news. The good news id that your toilet's clear, the bad news is that you've lost your photo. Good luck, Tom
