    Las Vegas probation
I have a friend that I was going to let stay with me and my family while on probation, he hasn't actually had the sentencing yet, that won't take place until October, but he had to turn in his paperwork to the probation department.. He put my address down n had been staying with me, but we realized it won't work out.. Is he able to change the address now n if so what does he need to do? If he doesn't have a "proper" address to use he said he goes to prison...

    Hello P:

That's true, but it's no concern of yours. I certainly wouldn't let him stay because of that.

I understand that, haha, but I AM concerned... He's trying to do good n has stayed out of trouble for a few years, this was an old thing that came back n bite him in the butt... Do u have any info or suggestions on what I can do? He seems to think that he can't change his address.. But considering he's not even had the sentencing hearing yet I would think he could without much trouble..

    Hello P:

Oh, he can, but it's no as easy as you think... His new address will have to be approved by the probation department... Still, that shouldn't be YOUR concern..

It doesn't sound like he has any place to go..

He doesn't.. Everyone he knows and is surrounded by is either a felon or lives with one... He really has been trying to get his stuff together and it just seems that he's getting knocked down at every turn.. N it kills me that he can't stay here... I wish it could be different.. N I know it's not my concern, but I still wish there was something I could do.. But thank you for your words and advice I really appreciate it
