How can u find where a the pipe is broken/damaged?
Have noticed a Bad smell in utility room / then kitchen for aprox two weeks now, yesterday smell became awful, today noticed water appearing from under house. Husband used green die to try discover where the leak was coming from but have had no luck, everything in the house that we run, taps, showers all produce a trickle of now green water from under the house. Haven't got a clue what to do now. Guessing I will have to pull up my tiles in the kitchen to get under the floor? If anyone has any other suggestions?? Feel free... :-(

Under house. Does that mean that you have a crawl space? Let me know. Tom

If you see water you have a crawl space? Go under the house and look for a cracked or corroded pipe or fitting. What type of piping and drain do you have?

No crawl space pipes are a mix of plastic and copper. It's a pure nightmare.

You can hire a company to come in with a camera and check the sewer and most likely find the lead.

The water appears to be coming either up through the ground at the drain pipe or through the brick work at ground level..
He individually put green dye cristals into firstly the main shower drain.. Ran the shower And looked outside at the water trickle.. There was nothing, did same with taps.. Nothing.. Then about 20min later the water with green dye appeared and started "trickling out faster" I then ran water from the bed room shower and within min the water was flowing out what looks like to me the brick work.. As in ground level where the grass meets the concrete of the house. It has appeared where there is a drain entrance but that drain pipe appears to be OK as the water is almost coming out the walls trickling down into that drain and it then seems to be draining away from there OK. The smell is awful though.
