Just moved to a new house and the washer drain stand pipe is only 30" above floor.

We have a 16 year old Kenmore washer and the manual says you need to have the top of the standpipe a minimum of 39 inches high. Our new er house has the piping/drain set at 30 inches. What is the best solution? Do the newer washers require less height?

I discovered a big hole behind the drywall in my copper drain line about 3/4' from the main 4" Drain... I need to disconnect the fitting... which direction is the thread... it is in there really tight and is difficult to loosen.

I want to avoid a 90 degree bend under slab. However, I have to reduce from the 2" pipe that drains the WM to the 3" main drain line, and the reducing tee I find has a very small sweep. Do I need to use a reducing combination wye and is there such thing?
