My fiancé and I would like to start a family. My parents are both mentally handicapped yet somehow I was blessed by God and have absolutely no mental or physical disabilities. My fiancé and are a little concerned at what the chances are of us having a child with mental disabilities (it doesn't run in his family at all). I have a younger brother who is mentally handicapped as well as borderline autistic, I've also provided child care for special needs kids and spent a lot of time around mentally handicapped people throughout my life. I know it may sound mean to some but I don't want to bring another handicapped child into this world, if my chances look bad I would rather adopt.

U must be a very strong person,try consultation ,by DNA analysis u can know the possibilities of u both having a child that is handicapped
