    Effects of taking out one of the transistors in the control unit of a honad civic
    The transistor in the control unit of my honda civic lxi 1997 model was taken out by my mechanic in order for me to be able to use it. Are there any adverse effects to this...

    They usually don't put in extra transistors. However, If he did that, he likely knows more than the Average Mechanic. Ask him what this did/controlled/bypassed.
    It may be fine?
