    Source for passport eligibility questions
    My son, age 50, has a felony conviction for vehicular manslaughter dating from Jan. 1991. He served 5+ years and since his release in May 1996 he has been clean and sober. He married and has a family of two children and a good job. His he elgible for a passport?

    He may get a passport in the US, that does not mean he can get visas to enter other nations, passports are merely legal ID, it is the visa that is harder to get. Many nations will not allow him to enter.
