Case is no longer under Review?
On may 27th 2011 I was taken out of class and Arrested in Wisconsin , the charge was "Theft From A Financial Institution" . I worked at the bank in my school it's a larger bank but they put a branch inside a few of the public schools. I was Released from jail the following Tuesday May 31st 2011 " Monday was Memorial Day", I was given a letter that said the DA has decided to not press charges at this time but may at a later date, I was Scheduled to ship out to Basic Combat Straining February 21st 2012 but was unable to because when the recruiters would go to the DA's office they would just say the case is under review, if I would call the secretary would just say "the computer says its under review" . So Its been over a year now and I called today and the secretary said the status is not in her computer and I would have to talk to some other lady to find out what's going on with it. She Transferred me but I got the ladies answering machine twice. It was 4 PM on a Friday so she won't be back in until Monday. I'm just wondering if its not any longer under review and there are no active warrants out for my arrest is the case closed? I also was talking to a lawyer who quoted me $1,500 to start working on my case its this a good deal? Any help would be great the amount in question is under $1,500 and I have no prior criminal history. Thanks Again!
P.S. I Have Not Even Been To Court For Tris

Hello solder:
I don't think you HAVE a case for the lawyer to work on.. It looks like your case is no longer under review, so the Army should take you... Talk to you recruiter.

Yes, it appears if it is no longer in the computer, it has been dropped and not under review.
Sounds like you can talk to the recruiter again

Well that being said I may have admitted to it when I was questioned at the school, and they recorded it, so I don't understand why they decided to not prosecute.

Hello again, s:
They still MAY. You don't know what was in the computer. You only know what they TOLD you was in the computer... And, I don't know that it's different today than it was in the past... You just got somebody else on the phone..
Plus, I don't know WHY your recruiter would GO to the DA's office and ask about you... Additionally, I don't think the DA would give them information about you anyway.. Look.. You're eligible for the service, or you're NOT... There's NO in between. If you haven't been convicted or haven't been CHARGED, then I think you're ELIGIBLE...

Added about a year ago the Army started to do FBI fingerprint background checks, so when my fingerprints were scanned, it said I had been to jail they asked why so I told then, then the command post in Milwaukee said they wanted a letter or some forum from the DA stating that they would not press charges, That's why my recruiters went to the DA, and no there is an in-between, because I'm not convicted nor am I charged but the case was "under review" and the army said they did not want them to reinstate charges while I was in basic training or at AIT

Electric dryer taking longer and longer to dry clothes
[ 3 Answers ]
I have an electric dryer that is taking longer and longer times to dry the clothes about 2-1/2 hours to do a standard load. The time seems to be increasing - Is this dangerous? It is probably running my electric bill up? The dryer came with the house I bought a year ago. I would guess the appliance...
Who should review my case (FICA contribution while on OPT)
[ 1 Answers ]
Thanks so much for the quick answer Atlantatax Expert.
Who should review my case individually (if I have to pay the FICA contribution while I'm on my OPT). Is my employer in charge of doing that or who should I ask?
FYI, I'm French.
Thanks again!
