    1992 honda accord tcm/tcu burnt but still drives and shifts... help !
    Hi I have an 92 accord lx auto it starts up fine it drives but the d4 starts blinking after like 5 minutes it shifts hard and drags but goes in to all gears my tmc/tcu is burnt inside I can take the car out of park with out it being on and it starts in neutral I went to a mechanic shop and they said it's a problem inside and it would be like a grand to fix but I find it weird that its still shifting in all gears.. I thought about changing the vss and buying a new tcu 1st

    . Check for codes.

    . Change the transmission fluid, if it hasn't been done in 30,000 miles.

    . Replace the TCM, if it really appears it's toast.

    If the problem persists, the ATX likely needs rebuilding or replacing.

    I had a transmission flush not to long ago.. I can see where the tcm is burnt and leaked

    Try checking for codes. If there's a major problem retrieving codes, then replace the TCM. That should give you a good idea of what you may be up against.
