I replaced transformer and now ac turns on but my furnace fan want cut on
I had a thermostat wire short out and blow my transformer in my furnace. My ac or my furnace would not cut on. I changed transformer, and my ac cuts on but my furnace fan will not cut on now. I hear water running threw coils I guess in my furnace area and coils are hot/cold. But my furnace fan will not cut on.

There are many possibility's but if you have a circuit board in your unit the transformer shorting out might have damaged it or the indoor blower relay that is attached to the board. You really need to trouble shoot it with a meter since guessing can get expensive for the parts.

Left for the weekend and when I came home my Goodman furnace fan would not cut off. The batteries had died in my Hunter thermostat. I've replaced the batteries and it still will not cut off. What would cause the fan to stay on?
