I had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in a tube bursting and a surgery in October '06.
I had my first period after the surgery from Jan. 3rd-8th/07... and haven't had another one since.
I only started to have a very regular period about three years ago, before that it was very irregular.
I took a pregnancy test about a week ago and it was negative- only now I've noticed that my breasts are VERY tender, and I've been very tired lately. Last Saturday I had some cramping that felt as though I was about to start menstrating and were painful enough to take some Advil.
What are the possibilities that I could be pregnant again?
If not, should I be very concerned that it could be something to do with the last pregnancy?

You should definitely go to your doctor about this. This could be something as simple as a hormonal imbalance, your periods may be irregular again. Or you could definitely be pregnant again.

There is really no other way to tell than going to your doctor.

Have you taken a HPT? If not, it might be a good idea to do so. Remember to use first morning urine as it contains higher concentrations of the pregnancy hormone Hcg.

But no matter the outcome you should be seen by your physician. If the test is negative you need to find out what is going on. If it is positive, you need to have a prenatal physical.

Thanks for the advice...
I took a HPT around 2 weeks ago and it read negative- mind you I took the test in the evening time.
I'm planning to go to the doctor this week to try and find out what's going on...

So I went to the local clinic yesterday only to wait for 2 hours before peeing into a cup...
I was told the test was negative and the only advice passed back to me was to come back in a week if I still haven't had my period and that its common for women to have a messed up menstrual cycle up to 6 months after an ecotopic pregnancy.
I must say, it was a little discouraging to see the negative test results again...
I was brought back to how ironicaly excited I was the last time I was in the clinic and found out I was pregnant- before I knew it was ecotpic of course.
Its getting quite exhausting, all this waiting...
I know many people have it much worse- but I really, really, really just want to have a baby.
Last night I had a dream about a happy, laughing baby girl and I felt so connected to this child...
I'm trying not to let my hopes get too high up- because I can't stand the disapointment another time, but a small part of me really wants those 2 tests to be wrong...
What are the chances?
