    Replacing Mobile Home Furnace
I am rehabbing a mobile home. It has an original Coleman gas furnace. Given the condition of home I am assuming the furnace needs to be replaced. My local Habitat Restore has a Trane Furnace XE90 Air Conditioning Unit XE1000 and A frame. Can I replace the Coleman with this Trane system?

All equipment used in a mobile home must be listed and labeled for such use. In other words the Trane unit is not listed for use in a mobile home. This is for safety and to meet HUD requirements.

One of the single wide mobile homes in the park I supervise has an electrical wall heater and the elctrical bills have been astronomical, due probably to the poor insulation. Another reason, I guess, could be the age of the heater. The HVAC people that work for us told us that there is no...
