    Dash lights go out when headlights come on
    2003 Pontiac Aztek driver information center shows ---------------, also when the headlights come on at night all the dash lights go out also there is no display on the radio. Fortunately enough the HUD still works. Is this a problem with the instrument cluster, or am I looking at a major wire tracing job? Would replacing the instrument cluster, and or the radio fix this issue? Is this a known issue with this vehicle?

    Have you tried adjusting the dimmer knob?

    That's something I didn't think about, but also the indicator lights for the A/C, and such stop working when this happens too, and when the headlights are not lit the Driver Information Center only shows dashes. I will check the dimmer switch though thanks.
