I broke up with my girl friend of 4 yrs I'm OK with the break up it was the right move for me, but she still consumes my thoughts every freaking day it has been 4 months and its driving me crazy, I do not want her back what the hell is going on?

You guys were together for 4yrs and it's only been 4months so of course your not going to get over it that easily. You feel like you made the right chose therefore just give yourself some YOU time keep yourself busy, surround yourself with friends , give yourself the time you need up to a year then if you feel the same way maybe just maybe you should give it another shot. Breakups are only as hard as you let them be. She is not the one consuming your thoughts, you are the one consuming your own thoughts of her. So stop letting yourself get sucked into the past and focus on the present and future.

Are you guys still in contact? If yes, that's what is preventing you from getting her out of your head. Time is your friend at this point. Breakups suck no matter what the cause. Make a list of all the reasons you broke up and why it would never work. Read it regularly when your head starts going a million miles a minute. Try casually dating. If you're not ready for something serious that's OK but you might be surprised what a little female attention will do for your spirits.
