    Judgement on my credit
    I have a judgement on my credit that is really hurting my credit score. How can I remove the judgement off my credit.

    First of all it needs to be paid. A paid judgment hurts your score less than an unpaid one. As soon as it is paid it should be listed on your credit file as satisfied, if it is not, you can open a dispute with each credit agency that is reporting it. They will then have to contact the responsible party and if the judgment is not confirmed within a certain time (30-45 days at the most) then the credit agency will have to delete it from your file. This works sometimes, but otherwise you will just have to wait until it goes off your record.

    If I have a lien on my credit report, how long does it stay on there for?
