    How to test a relay switch to see if is bad. My ac heater fan goes on and off.

    Remove relay, power-up relay, using a battery and jumper wires or Power Probe III; and test continuity of the switch portion of the relay. Depending upon how the relay was manufactured, you may be able to remove the cover and inspect the contacts for wear and pitting.
