When I turn off the water to the 2nd floor toilet, the leak stops through the 1st floor ceiling. I just changed the flap - thinking it was a problem with the fill mode (i.e. originally, the toilet wouldn't stop running but wasn't filling the tank nor the bowl - that's when the leak began through...

Have an older home (late 19th century) wanting to add a bathroom to the 2nd floor. There is a exposed main vent stack(4") and I want to tie into it with PVC. How can I properly remove the connection joint without destroying the cast pipe?
3" toilet stack is not level coming out of cement floor

Hi, I just finished chipping the cement away and cutting my stack down to the proper height to mount my flange, but unfortunately the 3" vertical stack is not level coming out of the cement floor. When I dry fit my flange it is lower on one side by about a 1/2". Any Idea on what my options...

Was told that I would have to build a 6 inch platform to place toilet high enough to get adaquate flow to prevent this. Is this valid or does anyone else have a better plan. Floors,pipes , toilet all new install to existing. 3 years. View more questions Search
