Pedal Drive Troy Bilt tractor won't stop.
I have a Troy-built lawn tractor (model D609G, G609G) that's about 10 years old. What is the likely problem if upon releasing the pedal in either forward or reverse it won't stop - it continues at a very slow pace but I'd like to figure out the problem. Thanks!

Tractor won't stop when I apply the brake, and it is difficult to shift the control lever from forward to neutral, to reverse. All else works well as before I replaced lower drive belt. What should I look for? Thanks
