I was with my boyfriend for 5 and a half years. We were doing a house up together to live in, but due to the strains of us not having time to see each other and no where to go to be able to spend time together, because we both lived with our parents and I fell out with his younger brother who also lived at his parents, we split up. I was the one who broke up with him because I was depressed and needed some space. In this time I went into a rebound relationship that lasted for 6 months. Just before I split with my rebound my long term ex asked me to come back to him. I agreed to finish with my rebound. Just after I finished with my rebound my best friend died. I was greiving and the time was not right to re start my relationship with my ex. He knew that I wasn't seeing my rebound anymore. Two months after my ex asked me to finish with my rebound he started seeing someone else. They have been together for 1 and a half months now. I feel angry that he just moved on. He said he didn't think I would have finished with my rebound so he moved on. He still says he loves me, but he can't get over the pain he went through when we split up. I really want him back, and I said I would give him space. Do you know what is the best way I could get him back? And do you think he is with a rebound?

Talk to him. If he wants to be with u he will dump the other girl and be with you. But u have to give him time because guys have feeling too and he may think that u will just end up hurting him again. That may be Wat is holding him back

I have not heard of a rebound "relationship" and one that lasted 6 months. As for your ex boyfriend I think he met someone he likes and has been seeing her for a month and a half. You never know this could be his way of getting you back for breaking up with him. I can't imagine his life being easy during the time he lived with his parents trying to get the house fixed up for the both of you and you breaking off the relationship during this time because you were stressed. I would say he was pretty hurt and stressed out himself. Best case scenario he realizes he still loves you even when you started seeing your "rebound ex" worst case is he realizes he has something wonderful with this new person he is going out with and wants to see where it goes. Only time will tell.
