    Throat hurts only at night and losing my voice.
    Ok, last weekend we were at the lake and noticed one of our boys was getting a sore throat. It seemed like it only lasted for a day, seemed like everyone had at least a day or so of a sore throat after that. Once my throat became sore I started losing my voice which nobody else lost their voice. Today is about the 3rd day losing my voice. Only at night is when my throat hurts extremely bad, very itchy. During the day it doesn't hurt so bad but my voice doesn't seem like it is getting any better. I have tried different medicines but seems like nothing helps. Does anyone know what's going on or any advice? How much longer will I be without a voice?

    I live in Alabama and the weather has been extremely hot, I thought it could possibly be something to do with allergies but I am not sure. I did take nyquil last night and once that kicked in I could tell I had some mucus and my nose has been pretty stopped up.
