Father of my daughter may not be her biological father
When I got with my ex partner I had just got out of a relationship. I then found out I was pregnant. The date matched up to my partner at the time and we went on to have our daughter and his name went on the birth certificate. We then started to argue as people had said how my daughter didn't look like him... I then started to wonder myself and we soon split up. I now want to no what I can do to find this out and if it he isn't the father if I am able to change the birth certificate and what will happen. Even though we aren't talking I hope he is her dad. If anyone could help I would appreciate this. Thanks

Depends on where you live and how old the child is. Its possible it is too late to challenge paternity. Give us more info and we will try to help.

To know the truth you can ask all the potential fathers to take a paternity test. If they refuse you start with the legal father and go to court to compel a test. This may need to be part of a request for Child support.
You should consult a solicitor to see what the proper procedure is.

This I am not sure. We haven't really spoke since splitting up. But I only want what's best for my daughter and if he isn't and I don't find out then she will never no the truth.

Thank you for you help. The other potential father has said he doesn't care and wants nothing to do with me or my daughter. As for my recent ex, I don't think he would want to, as think he would worry he wouldn't be her dad and them wouldn't be able to see her.

According to what I read (and this may not be correct) you can ask a court to compel tests be done just to "know". Your solicitor can confirm or correct me. In the US that isn't usually the case.
So the neither possibility can refuse if the court orders it.
