My GP gave me a steriod shot on 4/27 & then again on 5/9. I questioned him giving me them so close together, but since I had terrible back pain, I let him. Beginning on 6/1, I have either spotted or had a period (its been 30 days). I think I started a period (instead of spotting) on 6/14 and then again yesterday. I have been to my GYN, but forgot to tell her about the steriod shots--they seemed so long ago, but after I looked at the calendar, they aren't that long ago after all. I have seen her two times. Long story short, I have a one celled, thin walled, anechoic cyst on my right ovary that measured 3 cm, but has since gone down to 2 cm. She said that since I am 42, she was going to do fsh/lh?? And 4 different blood tests for cancer markers (including CA125). All of my tests came back fine. Could it be because of the two steriod injections?? If it is, how long does it normally take for periods to return to normal?

I read your post and it sound like I'm in a similar situation. I was wondering if you learned anything about this since your post. Are you still having problems? I've been bleeding for 25 days now and can't seem to get any answers. Thanks! And I hope things are better for you
