Ive always been shy but since around December its gotten much worse. I liked the same guy for months but couldn't get the courage to talk to him even after I found out he liked me too but was just as shy as I am. Guys try and talk to me but I just mumble and look at the ground even if their not attractive. Im just tired of being shy. Any suggestions on how to overcome shyness?

I used to be shy. It's funny because the way to overcome shyness is to gain confidence. But obviously, being shy kind of makes that tough. If guys are attracted to you and you know it, then great. You have some confidence. If you really like this guy then talk to him. Just talk to him. Nothing weird, nothing about your feelings for him, just normal talk. Say hi to him, get to know him (ask questions), keep it short and simple and do it again every once in a while. Eventually, he'll ask you questions and get to know you. Then you'll feel comfortable enough and who knows, maybe you'll get to courage to ask him out.
