I think I'm pregnant.. how do I tell my parents.. I'm only 16 and my boyfriend is 17 can we get married? Or not? I live in Arkansas

Well... Are you really pregnant? HAve you taken and pregnancy test? If so, and if you are. I was in a situation like that 3 years ago. I found out I was pregnant after I gradutaed high school and I was 5 months pregnant and didn't even know it till I went to the doctor. I kept it from my family till I was 8 months pregnant to where I couldn't hide it anymore. It's hard to tell them something like that. But you have to. You need that support. Just sit them down and explain to them, that you love them and that you have something to tell them and that you hope they will be there. That you need them now more then ever. Then let them know that you are pregnant. Then go from there. If you feel like you can't tell them face to face. Call them or write them a letter explaining to them the situation. No matter what they'll behind you. Even if they get upset let them. They are going to be. Just let them know and let them cool down. If the conversation goes into a agrument stop it because your pregnant the baby doesn't need it. :)

I would say, before jumping the gun... take a HPT to see if you are pregnant or not.

I'm was born and raised in Arkansas and my cousin got married at 16, but had to get a special license that was approved by his parents. This was over 20 years ago, though, so things could have changed since then.

Make sure you are pregnant first, and if you aren't, use better protection.

Ark has a law in place that you can get married if your parents sign for you. But you just tell them, time will tell them anyway, no way to hide it. And you need to get proper doctor care if you are.

How do you tell you parents? I will tell you now it is probably the hardest thing you will ever do until you do it . I was 17 when I founf out I was pregnant and I waited 5.5 months to tell my parents and the hardest thing was not that I was pregnant it was that I had kept such a special thing from them for so long. I am now the proud mother of 2 beautiful girls aged 9 and 8.

My advice is to tell your parents they will surprise you!
