    How do I stop my IBM Thinkpad overheating
    I have a IBM thinkpad T42 and have noticed that the bottom of the laptop is very warm how do I stop this from happening

    Unfortunately you can't as modern machine do produce a lot of excess heat.
    You can mitigate it by ensuring the vents are free from dust and there is a ample air flow to them.
    There are cooling trays available should the temperature become too great under heavy load.
