    Explorer tranny
    I have a 97 ford explorer, drive and first gear went out only second, park and reverse are the only gears that work how do I fix this

    Install a rebuilt transmission. Check Fred-Jones.com, which is a Ford authorized rebuilder of automatic transmissions. It sounds like your clutch packs are shot and you have no alternative, if you intend to keep the vehicle.
