    I don't know in your case. However, bench testing coils is virtually useless, since it does not simulate the intense heat they generate and are subjected to. Instead, I recommend replacing coils every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. With Toyotas, you want to go OEM for coils.

    When you test coils, you test for ohms. Voltage going into the coil should be battery voltage (~12.5 volts).

    In this order, I would:

    . Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    . Check for codes.

    . Install a new OEM coil, if the problem persists.

    . Install a new OEM Ignition Control Module (ICM), should the problem continue.

    This will likely solve your problem.
