Hi,

I have managed to mix some reds and blacks and all that up for some obscure reason.

Could someone please supply me with a wiring diagram for the DTD252.

I found this at a blog site:

disconnect dryer and in the back of dryer in top left hand corner is your diagram, looking from back of dryer, just remove the 6 screws from the top panel at the back of the dryer

I have looked in the whole of my dryer, inside and out, and there is no wiring diagram... Quite annoying.. I even called Defy themselves, who were quite rude but nonetheless.

All I replaced was the Thermal Switch, so I do not understand what is the whole dryers problem...

Is it possible for someone who has a wiring diagram to please post it for me :-)

You will find a generic wiring diagram here. If I knew what the wires were hooked to I could tell you what to do. If the wires go to a safety or a door switch it does not matter which wire goes to either of the two terminals on the switch or safety. Just give me a description and I will help you.

I hope this helps. It looks like the red and black go to the door switch. As long as you plug both on the door switch it should work because the red comes from an on/off switch and goes to the door switch and the black leaves door switch and goes to a safety, which is how almost all dryers are wired.
