    Menopause symptoms
I wish to know what other women who are going through menopause are experiencing. I was having terrible Migraines which have now at the moment ceased, but I got up the other morning and had this incredible sense of the room spinning, felt dizzy when I got up and felt violently sick. I got back and sat on my bed for an hour or so and it went away and I felt fine. Very strange , that's why I wondered if anyone can say these are normal symptoms of Menopause along with early morning and late night sweats, confusion and being very very teary and emotional at times? Thank you.

The only symptom you describe as dizzyness and sickness is not one I would ascribe to oncoming menopause. That sounds more like high blood pressure; do you suffer from high blood pressure? I would have to say if you don't,go have a doctor's check up to be on the safe side. Everything else you mention are menopausal symptoms.

Well I had blood pressure done a while back and its always been fine. The dizziness has been there with migraines slightly but all of a sudden the real bad headaches have stopped and seem to have been replaced with just muzzy heads or a bit of unsteadiness. I have been told these are classic Migraines which could be to do with menopause and have been really unwell with these. I have always had some form of dizziness as I get very bad anxiety and the night before this dizzy spell I was very anxious and hyperventilating before going to sleep a bit. I think maybe this could be why I felt this way in the morning as I had a really bad night. Sleeping has been a bit of a problem with the sweats and so forth. I know some women don't suffer at all in menopause but some do. Thank you and any other advice from anyone would help.

You are correct, some of us sail through this part of our life, and myself coming up to 70 did so with only night sweats and to be quite truthful never went away to this day.

I think more advice would no forthcoming if you explained any other medical conditions you might have, as you say hypertension not being one of them. Are you diabetic? Did you find the website helpful?

It is not our practice on AMHD to diagnose as this is very difficult to do on the Internet.

Oh I never realized you were 70. Well done. No I'm not diabetic or have thyroid problems although I have heard these can start with the menopause. I think we have to watch out for symptoms being confused. I have to get my weight down a bit and investigate natural safe things to do to help as well. Bad menopauses run in my family my mother suffered terribly as well with nerves and so do I which does not help at all. Relaxation is a key thing too.
