So me and this girl have been friends for about 5 years. We have always been real close but I was in a relationship and she has been in one too. I recently ended my relationship and her and I have become real real close. She has a boyfriend of about 1 year and a half. We have both expressed that we have always had an attraction to each other and we both feel there is something there. We flirt and talk about stuff that would be considered inappropriate. We have had some discussions about how we value our friendship and would hate for it to end if things don't go right but yet we still continue to flirt. I do feel guilty that she has a boyfriend. She has also said she is at the point where she doesn't think she wants to be in her relationship. I would definitely consider dating her but obviously taking it real slow but I can tell she is confused. I don't know what to do. I can see myself with her we click together real well share all the same values and just get along very well not like my last relationship. I don't know how it is with her and her current boyfriend but I know they can not be well if she is talking to me about our feelings for each other. Can someone give me some advice? Even better if you have been in the similar situation. I understand the morale dilemmas of our situation but I just want to know what to do when something great might be right in front of you but there are obstacles and possible red flags. We have also talked about how good it might be if we were together but she said she was confused and we had just left it as taking it day by day, but of course as time goes by I am becoming more emotionally invested we also kissed once a week ago. It was quick. Nothing more then that and we talked about how it made us feel but of course the boyfriend came into my head right after. Thanks again to all for your help. I want to do the right thing but emotions seem to have the best of me.

Leave her alone until she leaves the boyfriend. This is why she is so confused. She needs to make up her mind, and she can't do that as long as you are in the picture.
