My name is Eduardo Lopez and I need your help in a case that I have pending immigration. I was arrested and imprisoned in the year 1997 by a case of Drugs in New York City. During the period of confinement was favored with a bond and followed by attending the trial. During the trial went to the Dominican Republic and when I return to USA I was received by a immigration officer. The officer detected that I had a JUDGMENT pending and I could not leave the country. At that time they retained my papers (residence and passport) I explain that I had a job and was attending college. Talk to an officer and told me that the: Documents will be retained and sent to the immigration building for me to go and pick then up there he gave me a chance and let me go. I never went back to look for my documents.

I attended the trial last for a while and I had a sense that I was going to jail and never showed up in court.15 years have pasted. Several months ago I started to investigate what happened on the case and a cousin who was involved said the case was dismiss some time ago. That Interest me and I got in contact a criminal attorney and also with the court case manager.They told me the same thingl that my cousin told me that the case was dismiss. So They handed me a DOC # 97NO60866.

So if you can Help find out What I have to do to get back my Papers since I never went to pick them up. Is my Immigration Status in good standing point.?
