My girl left me a few weeks ago, I hinted that maybe we cannot do it anymore, we had a bad fight and she said she agreed, we can't do it anymore. She said she can't take the drama. I told her parents some stuff that happened between us as a sort of closure. It turned out it caused more turmoil than it helped. It hurt the whole family. Now I'm not allowed to talk to her. We are both going away, me into the marine corps, and her to college. I love her, and honestly I want to keep the door open for her. I want to maybe try again in the future, so long as we are both single of course. Is this okay?

You say you 'aren't allowed to talk to her.' That means no, you don't try again. You wait and hope.
I do think you put the final nail in the coffin by telling private matters to her parents. So I would not hold your breath, but learn from it for the next person.

Where'd you get the idea that being in the corps gives you free reign? If anything it gives you fewer rights, and she can call the police and file harassment charges and get restraining orders. If I sounded emphatic it wasn't to be hurtful, but to shake some reality into you. I have no interest in hurting a total stranger who is in pain.
It's sad that you need to call us losers, but do what you have to do.

Im sorry I called you losers. But by "ever again" I mean just that. I didn't mean next week or next year, or in the near future. I meant for instance, if I'm compelled to years from now. This doesn't mean there won't be girls along the way, or that I won't change my mind lol. That's all I was asking, and you gave me the "no close the door for her answer"
