Looking for some help. I recently had a disagreement with my girlfriend it turned into her hitting me with her phone in my face and then punch me. I got fed up. She was doing this while my son was in the house. I didn't want my son to witness this erratic behavior, so I ask her to leave. She refuse so I called the police. They came an escort her off the premises. I tried to talk to her a week later and she was upset that I called the police. I tried to explain to her that I didn't want my son to see me get into a physically abusive fight with my girlfriend. So, I'm trying to see if I was wrong for calling the police. She refuse to talk to now. Why don't she understand?

The only thing you did wrong was to call her a week later and care about how she felt about it.

You don't contact her again and move on with your life.

You were not wrong for calling the cops to remove a violent, out of control individual from your home, but you are gravely mistaken if you ignore the obvious, she thinks its okay to be violent, and lash out when you disagree, and you are supposed to take it.

You are absolutely wrong to think she will be a good girl friend, and a healthy person to be around your child.

You are wrong not to see this as a preview of things to come, and say good riddance to this person, and leave them alone. Just curious, how long did it take to find out that this female had this side of her? Hard to believe this is the first indication of her true nature.
