    Troubleshooting rheem central air fan
    Rheem model #RPPA-043JAZ June/1999
    Outdoor fan motor F.L.A. 2.0 1/3 hp

The fan won't come on by itself. If I spin the fan myself, it will start and continue to run.
The fan does spin freely and voltage checked o.k.
Any ideas? If this is a Run Capacitor issue, what does it look like?
    Thanks for the help.

Sure sounds like a capacitor problem. The cap will be round or oval and usually metal or grey plastic in color. If this is on a condenser, it will most likely be a dual cap wich will have the sets of terminals.
