I met a girl my sophomore year of high school on a school debate trip close to Valentine's Day. We were both single. I sort of started to like her as we talk on the way down when she was not asleep in my arms and when we arrived we walked around the school together just talking more. I was going to ask her to be my boyfriend but never did, a big regret, and when we returned she had another boyfriend and we lost touch.

The next year we had a class together and sat next to one another talking until we became the best of friends. One day over a text message she even said she loved me, a moment I still remember, when she still had this boyfriend who didn't treat her as well as she deserved. I did a lot for her from going to sporting events to dance concerts and even church more than once, I don't care fore church, all so I could see her smile. Soon she broke up with her boyfriend and, I guess I jumped the gun, was rejected when asking her out finally.

A few month later she was on another boyfriend and our friendship started to fall apart again but we were still really close. Our senior year we were best friends again and I had even walked out on a job because she wanted me to see her dance. However soon after that everything fell apart as I tried to help her with a school problem that she didn't want help with. Since then I have only talked to her a few times and have even moved, due to college and parents, removing any chance to see her.

However it has been two years, almost, and I still am thinking about her. I keep wondering if I should do as people keep telling me and continue on trying to move on which has not worked yet or should I possible try to become her friend again even when it ended with us saying we are done with each other? Can anyone help because this is really driving me crazy...

I have to say that you are a great guy who deserves better. It sounds like you would do anything for her, which is not a bad thing, but since she doesn't seem to feel the same way about you, all I can advise is that you try and forget about her and move on.

You may think this is all good said, than done, but it must be done. It is not easy to forget and move on from someone you love. The three things that really helped me out of a similar situation are:
1) Go no contact - This is so that she is not in your life anymore, so you can move on.
2) Go out and have fun and meet new people
3) Focus on a hobby, or develop a new one

YOU WILL find someone better if you move on; someone who will do anything for you and love you unconditionally.
