    Need to file w4
I am a south african citizen on an h2b visa. Work in the carnival business and in 2006 earned $12 975.00. Fed tax:$1254.98 social tax:$804.45 medicare tax:$188.14.
My question is : Do these taxes seem realistic? Am I entitled to anything back? As a carnival worker travelling, do I get a perdim per day?
My new tax year has started and I don't want to pay in too much, and not be able to claim back, how many deductions can I claim? I am single.

The Social Security and Medicare taxes are flat-rate taxes.

When you file the return, you will probably get a fair-sized refund back.

If you do not want that large of a refund next year, claim 3 exemptions on your W-4.
