    Foreclosure for divorced couple
My ex husband and I divorced 2 years ago. In the settlement he got the home with me understanding he was going to refinance and remove me from the loan and deed. He did not and now it is in foreclosure and sherriff sale. I am still being help responsible for him not paying on the home for 2 years. What are my legal rights?

The Bank/mortgage company is NOT controlled by the terms of a divorce. If the settlement turned the house over to him but he never removed you from the loan and deed you are still responsible for the debt. Didn't your Attorney follow up?

I would consult a very good Attorney because you are responsible for this debt.

He is in default of the divorce agreement, you can take him back to court for contempt and sue him ( guess he has no money ?) for any of your loss.

18 months ago, 12 month ago, 6 months ago was when you needed to start taking him back when you knew he had not taken you off.

These types of agreement seldom work and your lawyer should have let you know
