Assalamu alaikum Dear Brother,

I have a concern concerning taking of one particular partnership which is very common here in the Middle East.

Eg-

I saw an outlet and identified it as a possible business spot for one of the prominent business houses. (Eg- realizing the shop on 1st Floor is a good location for a tea shop)

I then approach the business party and intimate him of the offer - at the same time I mention that I need a 10% partnership in all profits of the firm- this 10% is because I have identified the spot for the person- but now- in this case- I am a silent partner- without ant investment or hard work.

My concern is that - am I liable for the losses incurred here as well? And do I need to take in liability for the losses at the % of my partnership.
