    Forgot To Prime Joints
I remembered to prime my pvc pipe, yet forgot to prime just one of the elbows. Am I in danger of a leaky pipe now? Thank you in advance

Hey Sue, Twenty lashes with a wet noodle for forgetting to prime before you glue. The reason you prime plastic pipe is to remove the glaze so the glue will have a rougher surface to stick to. We do the same thing with sand paper if we're out of primer. If these were water pipes under pressure I would say, "Better safe then to wake up to a flood, so take the joint apart and prime and glue it over".
However if the pipe was drainage with little or no pressure involved you may be OK in letting it ride. It's your call now. Cheers, Tom

Hi all... my sprinkler pump is losing its prime on a daily basis. I have a newly sodded lawn and need to water daily. Could it be the check valve causing this? The check valve has been rattling lately when the sprinklers are on. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated. THanks.
