Electrical outlet not working for certain appliances
Recently renovated a bathroom. New receptacles in the bathroom work fine for substantially everything, but as it turns out my wife's blow dryer doesn't work in them. Simply won't work in any receptacle in the bathroom. Other electrical appliances work fine in those same receptacles. Additionally, the blow dryer (that won't work in the bathroom) works fine in any other receptacle in the house. Help?

Check polarity, See if you have voltage between the small slot and the ground. If you did, it would show polarity is correct, but with a Wiggy type tester, that would Trip a GFI with that test.

I will assume the dryer has it's own ground fault plug and that the outlets are GF protected. Are you sure this outlet is connected to the line side? Is this outlet protected from another GFCI?
