    I want to lose weight but I'm 12?
    I'm a 12 year old girl in 7th grade and I weigh about 130-135 lbs. a lot of people say I'm not overweight but in my swimsuit my stomach sticks out and I have a lot of fat(my stomach jiggles when I walk). I try to loose weight but I just can't stick to it. I told my mom and she said I was being stupid. I don't know what to do?

    Unless a 12 year old was seriously obese, there should be no reason to lose weight as long as you are growing at a normal rate. Give your growing body a chance to obtain all the nutrients it can; there is plenty of time to lose weight when you are older. Right now, that should not be a priority, but you can exercise to lose that little tummy. Go on line and pick up some good ab exercises you can do in your spare time to muscle up that stomach properly.

    At 12, the only thing you should think about doing is cutting out anything that is empty calories. Do you drink soda or other types of sugary drinks? Do you eat sweets? Either of those can be safely eliminated, but as Tick said you don't want to diet.

    Hello!

    I'm afraid you are overweight. Your om m loves you so she's not going to hurt your feelings and say you need to lose weight but you do.

    I used to have a flabby stomach, always embarrassed to take my shirt off in public. Kids teased me for being fat. Then I had to lose weight for my cousin's wedding...
