Okay, ill try and keep this brief.

There was this guy, that I started dating in school, and until after school for 2.5 years. When he turned 18, it kind of went downhill from there. I know now, that we hung out almost way too often (every single night/day) and he didn't get to spend enough time with his mates, and have the chance to live the life of an 18 year old.

Sooo, he dumped me, and for the first month of it, we still saw each other often. He would say things like, "I'm starting to like you again" and "i think we will get back together". Although this never really happened!

It then got to the point of him telling me to off.. so I did just that. I got a fake ID and bumped into him a few times and he gave me the cold shoulder and just ignored me.

The night before new years, I went out and bumped into him. He was really drunk, and the truth just fell out of his mouth - he took me home that night and was like "i cannot get over you" and "you mean the world to me" - we then slept together, and the following day I went to japan for 2.5 weeks. During that time we were constantly talking - coughing up a HUGE phone bill! Whilst I was over there, I had sex with someone whom we went to Japan with. It wasn't until I got home, that I told him.. and from there on we just kind of fell apart.

Soo, I started dating the guy from Japan... although I really just couldn't measure him up again the other guy... so I therefore dumped him recently..

My ex (the guy that I'm still in love with) has been, during the my new relationship, still obsessed with me.. and saying that I picked the japan guy over him.

Now to date - he tell me he loves me more than anything, we are soul mates, we will be together one day, the sex isn't the same with anyone else etc.. etc.. And I stay there frequently. Although he is CONSTANTLY talking about getting in with other girls in front of me, and saying things like "is that girl single" - referring to my friends. We went out to a club together and he hooked up with someone in front of me too.

My question is (finally), why does he do this in front of me? Do you think he really does like me? Is there any hope of us getting back together? I love him so much it hurts, and I know you may be reading this thinking, pfft she's young (18) but I honestly have never and don't ever want to feel the same that I feel about him with anyone else.

For now, it's time to distance yourself from him, so that you can heal from your wounds. The best thing to do is see your friends and meet new people. Once you've healed from your wounds, you can look back at what happened more objectively.

I think you both need to stay away from each other. Ger each other out of your system.
You slept with a guy you hardly knew while in Japan and he's doing his thing, yet you are seeing each other. That is messed up. You both need to grow up.
